Auto-Resetting PCM

The VL-M98D   features an auto-resetting PCM, meaning if the battery were to shut down and go into protection mode, there is no need to attach it to a charger to reset the board as it does this automatically. This is perfect for times when you are shooting in the field, and you don’t have immediate access to a charger.

SMBUS Communication System

The Hawk-Woods VL-M98D Battery also features an SMBUS communication system, making it compatible with RED cameras, as well as any other equipment that uses SMBUS protocol. This allows the battery to intelligently communicate with the software built-in to any SMBUS complaint video equipment, enabling it to display battery levels more accurately.

Flight-Safe
